Summer Programs

​We have information sent to us by different organizations about summer opportunities they offer. We endorse none of them but simply make these available for students to take advantage of if they think the programming is worthwhile.​
Catalyst (Summer 2023 and School Year 2023-2024)
Catalyst is a high school program designed to create STEM opportunities for students with disabilities. Students learn STEM content and skills through hands-on labs and research, participate in STEM field trips, mentoring opportunities, and internships, improve workforce readiness and soft skills, and explore STEM educational pathways and careers. Catalyst also provides students job exploration counseling, workplace readiness training, work-based learning experiences, counseling on postsecondary options, and development in self-advocacy.
The recruitment period for Summer 2022 and School Year, 2022-2023 has closed. Catalyst recruitment will begin in January 2023 for Summer 2023 and School Year 2023-2024.

Cornell University Precollege Summer Program - Exclusively Online
As one of the nation's longest running and most highly regarded precollege academic programs, Cornell University gives motivated students the chance to:

Duke Pre-College for Grades 6 to 11
Duke Pre-College Programs provide academically motivated middle and high school students with rigorous learning experiences. Building on the legacy of Duke University programs, including Youth Programs and the Talent Identification Program (TIP), Duke Pre-College Programs inspire and challenge the next generation of problem-solvers. Our diverse selection of courses is designed to bring the Duke experience to current 6th-11th graders through cutting-edge topics featuring Duke guest speakers, researchers and resources. Guilford College Rise
Rising seniors- are you looking for a way to earn college credit and live on a college campus this summer?
Apply to Guilford College Rise, a three-week residential experience where they'll live and learn on the Guilford College campus in Greensboro, N.C.  This year's dates are June 27 through July 15, 2022, and applications are being accepted. They can apply today at this link.
Plus, selected participants will receive up to $3,250 toward the cost of their attendance. Plus, money is still being raised, so more may be applied to their final amount! Please encourage your students to also apply for this scholarship at this link.  We look forward to getting to know you this summer at GC Rise.
Illinois Tech Elevate College Prep
The Elevate College Prep program offers residential, daytime, and online programs and courses such as Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Science, Local Politics and Environmental Sustainability, and many more. 

Whether your students are looking for robust pre-college offerings or just want to participate in one of our hands-on programs this summer, there’s no better place to do it than Illinois Tech, Chicago’s only comprehensive tech-focused university. Learn more and register by June 3, 2022!
Landmark College Summer Programs
Any high school or college-age student who dreams of being a more confident and better prepared learner is invited to explore the summer programs at Landmark College. Financial aid is available in most programs to qualifying students, and a diagnosed learning disability is not required to participate in our summer programs. Marist College Summer Pre-College Programs
Marist's unique In-Person and Virtual Summer Pre-College programs offer rising juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn 3 transferable college credits while working with faculty, interacting with theirs peers, and experiencing life as a college student.  The free application for the 2022 Summer Pre-College is live at www.marist.edu/precollege!  Applications are reviewed on a rolling, space available basis per program
Miami University Summer Scholars Program
The Miami University Summer Scholars Program is an opportunity for academically talented rising high school juniors and seniors to spend one week on Miami's campus exploring a topic of their choice alongside our leading faculty and professional experts. Pratt Precollege Program
Explore creative careers and develop artistic skills with support from experienced faculty. The month-long experience combines college-level courses and cultural enrichment opportunities for high school students on Pratt's picturesque Brooklyn, New York campus. Courses are led by incredible Pratt faculty members who are committed to sharing their expertise and experience with the next generation of creatives and providing a sneak peek into the undergraduate experience at Pratt. Rider University's Pre-College Summer Program - Westminster College of the Arts
High school students are invited to take a step toward achieving their academic and artistic goals by attending a Pre-College Summer Program from Rider University's Westminster College of the Arts. They offer a variety of programs in voice, theatre, organ, piano and musical theory to jumpstart your success story. To register, please click here.
Stevens Institute of Technology Pre-College Programs
Each of these programs gives students the opportunity to explore a college major and test drive the college experience. The programs have been creatively designed by a world-class Stevens faculty member who is an expert in their field. The goal is to get students thinking strategically about their future! University of Delaware's Summer College Program - Edge
The Edge summer college program is a three-week, credit-bearing, college experience held July 10 – 30, 2022. Edge is designed for accomplished and highly motivated high school students going into their junior and senior years. Students in Edge will prepare for college by learning from engaging and highly-respected University of Delaware faculty and staff. They will take part in both on- and off-campus activities and build community with students from all over the world. For more information and to apply, please click here.
UNC Asheville Pre-College Programs
Each program will run from Sunday to Friday, with topics spanning the arts and sciences. All students will live on campus to fully experience university life and the surrounding community. The program cost, which starts at $1,200, includes lodging, meals, course materials, activities and excursions. Programs follow COVID protocols and University community expectations, and offer a flexible cancellation policy. Dates for our Summer 2022 Pre-College Programs are June 12-17, June 19-24 and June 26-July 1, 2022, with several programs offered multiple weeks. Topics include:

University of Miami Summer Scholars Program
How many students get the chance to build an architectural portfolio, create a business plan, meet executives from collegiate and professional sport administrations, all while earning six college credits? At UM, students explore their academic passion and consider their future career opportunities when they attend the University of Miami’s Summer Scholars program. High-achieving high school sophomores and juniors can gain an authentic college experience and earn six college credits in a variety of academic areas. For students looking to gain hands-on experience in a more condensed format, we also offer our incredible two-week, non-credit academy program for an intense experiential learning environment. University of Notre Dame Pre-College Programs
​​Discover your passions this summer in an encouraging environment with like-minded students from around the globe. Our Precollege Programs offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in the unique Notre Dame community.
Summer Scholar and Leadership Seminars participants experience residential life while on campus. You'll be paired with a roommate and live in a dorm room. USC Summer Programs extends a tradition of excellence to outstanding high school students through a diverse offering of summer courses. University of Wisconsin-Madison Badger Pre-College: Registration through April 30, 2022
Interested in learning more about UW-Madison and spending the summer discovering new things and making lifelong friends? Consider Badger Summer Scholars and the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Badger Precollege. Applications are now open, and financial aid is available for both programs. 
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Summer Science Institute
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Research Triangle Park, NC, will host its 12th annual Summer Science Institute June 13-17, 2022. This FREE 1-week program will inform participants about how the EPA protects human health and the environment and will emphasize interactive and hands-on experiences, tours of campus facilities, and networking with EPA professionals. 
 Rising 11th and 12th graders are eligible to apply to the Environmental Science Summer Institute, and participation is limited to 20 students. The EPA Summer Institute is Monday-Friday, June 13-17, 2022, from 9am-4pm and will be in-person on the U.S. EPA Campus in Research Triangle Park, NC. More information and a link to the application are here. You can read about the 2018 in-person program here.
Wake Forest University Online Immersion Program
Six online courses from Wake Forest give high schoolers a start on the future! Experience personal mentoring for guidance and asynchronous learning for flexibility. Find more information here.
Waynesburg University CSI Camp: June 13, 2022 through June 17, 2022
Available to students entering 11th grade, 12th grade, or who are spring 2022 high school graduates, this CSI Camp is designed to give students hands-on experience of what they can expect in the forensic science and criminal justice majors and, ultimately, occupations. Camp will enable students to enhance their knowledge and understanding of forensic topics and allow them to make valuable connections with professionals and fellow peers in the field.
